The 2024 Jones Group of Companies U14 Males Football competition kicked off in spectacular fashion on Friday, October 18th, with two action-packed matches that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Match 1: Verchilds High School vs. Basseterre High School – 4-4 Draw

The opening match between Verchilds High School and Basseterre High School was a thrilling encounter that ended in a 4-4 draw. Both teams displayed tremendous skill and determination, trading goals in a fast-paced game.

• Verchilds High School:
  • Cajani Burnham (#8) found the back of the net in the 30th minute.
  • Jahmar Lewis (#2) followed up with a goal at the 41st minute.
  • Kaiden Caines (#6) scored in the 59th minute.
  • Ezekiel Perdereaud (#11) added another in the 70+3rd minute.
• Basseterre High School:
  • Jurani England (#9) scored early, netting a goal in the 11th minute.
  • Edin Hamm (#10) dominated with two goals in quick succession at the 29th and 31st minutes.
  • Lajarni Bryon (#11) secured his team’s fourth goal in the 25th minute.

This high-scoring match ended with a hard-earned draw, setting the tone for an exciting season ahead.

Match 2: Washington Archibald High School vs. Charles E. Mills Secondary School – 1-0 Victory

In the second match of the day, Washington Archibald High School claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Charles E. Mills Secondary School. The match was tightly contested, with both sides displaying strong defensive tactics. The game’s lone goal came from Jahmal Pemberton (#15), who scored in the 31st minute, sealing a well-deserved win for Washington Archibald.
