Basseterre, St. Kitts. November 17, 2020- Nagico Insurances reaffirmed its commitment to the Ministry of Sport through the provision of sporting tops for all Department of Sports coaches and staff. The brief handing over ceremony took place at the company’s Basseterre Headquarters, on November 11.

The tops were accepted by the Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Sport, Youth and Culture Valencia Syder and the Advisor to the Minister of Sport Glenn Phillip.

“Nagico Insurance Company takes its corporate responsibility seriously and is supportive of any initiative that involves giving back to the community, especially through ventures that target the youth of St. Kitts and Nevis,” Indira Dunrod Walters Human Resources/Marketing Officer stated.

Nagico Insurances has buttressed its partnership with the Department of Sport over the past year through the sponsoring of sporting events and active involvement in the capacity building sessions for the Department’s coaches and staff.

“This gesture is timely and ensures uniformity among our coaches and staff, especially as we deliver a structured Physical Education programme, as a component of a pilot of a Health and Wellness curriculum, in Grade 4 and 6 in all primary schools; both public and private,” Acting Permanent Secretary Syder disclosed.

Nagico Insurances has been serving St. Kitts and Nevis for over fifteen years, offering a wide variety of services including general insurance, medical insurance and life insurance.

The Department of Sports is mandated by the Ministry of Sport to engage the federation’s youth in sports, to aid in their overall development.
